Research Report: Sean Feucht's Ministries

Formal Statement Regarding Longstanding Misconduct by Sean Feucht

We the undersigned submit this formal statement to provide a documented account of longstanding and serious moral, ethical, financial, organizational and governance failures involving Sean (John Christopher) Feucht and the four religious organizations that he founded and directs. Our testimony is based on direct experience and first-hand observations of Sean over an extended period of time.

Based on the documented and corroborated nature of these concerns, we strongly urge that Sean Feucht be removed from positions of leadership and financial stewardship. This statement is made in good faith for the purpose of preventing further harm and upholding standards of biblical accountability, transparency, and justice. 1 Timothy 5:20 admonishes us to publicly share with the wider Body when a leader is consistently confronted by their sin and does not repent nor change his ways so that others may see the kindness of God in the life of the unrepentant and so that others may take warning. To remain silent about the dangers of Sean's sin is not Biblical nor loving and it dishonors Sean and these board members, Sean's victims, and those who are exposed to him via social media platforms and in-person events. We have consistently witnessed Sean publicly point his finger at the sin of the world yet repeatedly fail to take responsibility for acknowledging, repenting of and turning away from his own serious and habitual sin ("For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church?" 1 Corinthians 5:12).

Having witnessed firsthand what we have witnessed about Sean we can no longer encourage financial contributions to him and his endeavors. We corroborate the recent MinistryWatch database assertion that Sean Feucht Ministries' financial integrity and accountability ratings have shifted in the last few years, leading to Sean's transparency grade and overall donor confidence score to plummet to a "withhold giving" designation. We can no longer encourage anyone to work for him, paid or unpaid. And we can no longer encourage anyone to partner with him in any ministry capacity or invest in him financially due to the following egregious, corroborated, and longstanding sin:

1. Longstanding Pattern of Moral and Ethical Misconduct by Sean Feucht

Over many years, we have personally witnessed Sean choose to engage in repeated and unrepentant behavior that includes manipulation, exaggeration, control, lying, gaslighting, and spiritual and emotional abuse. Despite numerous efforts by peers and former staff to confront these behaviors through biblically-based processes (Matthew 18), very little meaningful change or repentance has occurred over multiple years. Sean has a consistent and longstanding pattern of denying, attacking, and reversing victim and offender (DARVO) when confronted with his sin. Sean frequently attempts to sidestep his legitimate sin by telling partial truths, failing to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

2. Misrepresentation and Abuse of Power

Sean Feucht has consistently used his public platform to portray a persona inconsistent with his private conduct. He has misrepresented ministry activities by exaggeration and outright lies. Sean routinely oscillates between presenting himself as a victim and domineering others, depending on what benefits him most in a given moment. Sean routinely boasts in his own self-importance, often dealing in grandiose visions and promises, interacting with individuals around him as though they are only stepping stones to his next important "mandate", etc. We have consistently witnessed the ceaseless financial solicitation intermingled with his grandiose visions, which has led to untold financial gain and a steady stream of unpaid labor from volunteers, some of whom have worked hours equivalent to more than full-time positions, without any remuneration whatsoever. Firsthand testimonies describe a consistent pattern of misusing ministry resources and abusing relationships for personal branding and gain.

3. Retaliation Against Whistleblowers and Failure to Address Internal Complaints

Individuals who have attempted to raise concerns or confront misconduct have been met with retaliation, public defamation, exclusion from ministry involvement, and threats of litigation. This includes statements made by Feucht suggesting that those who raised objections were no longer Christians or were politically motivated—accusations that are both defamatory and unsupported.

4. Negligence of Oversight by Burn 24/7, Light a Candle, Let Us Worship and Sean Feucht Ministries Board Members

The board members for Burn 24/7 and Light a Candle—Adam Miller, Jamie Dickson, and Caleb Klinge (sat on the board until Fall of 2024)- have been made aware of serious concerns and credible reports of misconduct but have either actively contributed to the abuse or repeatedly denied, diminished and concealed it, in many ways reinforcing Sean's actions.

Board members for Let Us Worship and Sean Feucht Ministries- Robert Zoellner and Alvin Chun (only for LUW) - have also seemingly exercised little to no practical oversight of Sean's dealings in keeping with their fiduciary responsibilities as board members, accepting Sean's near complete autonomy in the daily affairs of these two organizations, to the effect that former key employees of these organizations were never made aware of their names, much less were they able to reach out to these overseers with concerns, though they are listed as the official officers of these organizations. This inaction has enabled the continuation of unethical practices and harm to volunteers and staff over many years.

5. Request for Action

Based on the longstanding and corroborated nature of these concerns, we strongly urge that Sean Feucht be removed from positions of leadership and financial stewardship. This statement is made for the purpose of preventing further harm and upholding standards of biblical accountability and transparency.

Having witnessed firsthand what we have witnessed about Sean we can no longer encourage any financial contributions to him and his endeavors; we can no longer encourage anyone to work for him, paid or unpaid; and we can no longer encourage anyone to partner with him in any ministry capacity.
